At a glance
These terms cover your use of Super Resolution at superresolution.pro, a web service that enlarges images with AI and returns the result as a PNG.
- Who we are: Super Resolution runs the service, and you can reach us through the contact page. See About these terms.
- Your images and results: you keep your rights, we do not claim ownership of your uploads or results, and we process your files only to run the service. See Your content and results.
- Credits: every verified account receives free credits each UTC day, and they expire at UTC midnight. Paid credits do not expire. See Credits, rewards and payments.
- Watermark: results made only with free credits carry a watermark, unless your account also holds paid credits; results made with paid credits do not. See Credits, rewards and payments.
- Subscriptions: they renew until you cancel, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you paid for. See Credits, rewards and payments.
- Refunds and failed upscales: credits held for an upscale that fails are returned automatically, and credit purchases are final. See Refunds and failed upscales.
- What is not allowed: uploading content you have no right to use, abusing free credits or limits, and attacking the service. See Acceptable use.
- Suspension: we can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and you can delete yours at any time. See Suspension and ending your account.
About these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and Super Resolution for using superresolution.pro and its tools, and when you create an account and continue, you accept them. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Super Resolution.
The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle data and cookies, and they are part of how the service works. Pricing and plan details are on the pricing page.
The service and its limits
Super Resolution enlarges a still image you upload and gives you the result as a PNG for download. This section describes what the service supports and where it has limits.
- Files: you can upload PNG, JPG or WebP images up to 20 MB. Only still images are accepted, so animated images are rejected. Each side must be between 16 and 8192 pixels, and the image can have up to 8.5 megapixels.
- Factors and modes: you can enlarge 2×, 4×, 8× or 16× in Photo or Anime mode, and you can turn on Enhance faces. A factor that would take the result above 34 megapixels (about 8K) is declined.
- Output: the result is a PNG of up to 34 megapixels.
- Free credits: an account that has only free credits is limited to 2× in Photo mode without Enhance faces. The other factors, Anime mode and Enhance faces are unlocked by paid credits.
- Price before you start: each upscale costs credits, and the cost is shown before you start. It depends on your image, the factor you choose and whether Enhance faces is on.
- Cloud processing: images are processed in the cloud by a third-party AI provider, so the service depends on that provider and on our other infrastructure vendors. The Privacy Policy explains what the provider receives.
- Shared capacity: free credits draw on shared daily capacity for the whole site. When that capacity is used up, a free-credit upscale or reward can be declined until it resets.
- Rate limits: we limit how often uploads and requests can be made, to keep the service available to everyone.
- Results from AI: an AI model generates the enlarged image, so it can differ from your original, especially in fine detail and faces. Check each result before you rely on it.
- Changes: we may add, change or retire features, factors, modes and tools over time.
Your account
You can sign up with Google or with an email address and password, and your email address must be verified before you can sign in.
- Give accurate information, and keep your password to yourself. Passwords are 15 to 128 characters long.
- Temporary (disposable) email domains are not accepted at sign-up.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has access to it, tell us through the contact page.
- You can delete your account yourself in Security settings. The Privacy Policy explains what is removed and what is kept.
Your content and results
You keep whatever rights you have in the images you upload. You also own the results Super Resolution produces from them, to the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to the rights of anyone whose material appears in your upload. You can use your results commercially, and we do not claim ownership of your uploads or of the results made from them.
- Your responsibility: you confirm that you own what you upload or have permission to use it, including any photographs, artwork and people's likenesses in it. You are responsible for your uploads and for how you use the results.
- What you allow us to do: you give us permission to process, store and display your content to you, and to look at it when needed to fix a problem or keep the service secure, only so we can provide the service. Processing includes sending the source image to our AI provider.
- What we do not do: we do not publish or sell your uploads or results, and we do not use them to train our own models.
- Where results live: results stay in your account for as long as it exists, and only your signed-in account can download them. Source images are removed by a daily cleanup. The Privacy Policy has the details.
- Watermarked results: we keep only the watermarked version of a result made with free credits. To get a version without a watermark, upscale the image again with paid credits.
Acceptable use
Use Super Resolution lawfully and fairly, and do not do any of the following:
- Upload content you have no right to use, or content that is unlawful or infringes other people's rights.
- Use the service in a way that harms others or breaks the law.
- Claim free credits through automation, bulk or repeated sign-ups, or any other way of getting around the free-credit rules.
- Get around limits, credit charges, rate limits or security measures.
- Try to reach servers, accounts or data that are not yours.
- Upload or distribute malware or other harmful code.
- Interfere with the service or with anyone else's use of it.
Credits, rewards and payments
Super Resolution charges for upscaling in credits, and you get credits through free daily credits or by paying. The cost of each upscale is shown before you start, and the plans and packs are on the pricing page.
| Credits | How you get them | When they expire |
|---|---|---|
| Free daily credits | 24 credits each UTC day, added automatically when you open the site while signed in with a verified account. | At the next UTC midnight. They do not accumulate. |
| Paid credits | Credit packs and monthly or yearly subscriptions. | Never. They stay usable after you cancel a subscription. |
There is no separate signup bonus; the free credits you receive on your first day are your welcome gift. The daily credit rules page gives the full conditions.
Free credits:
- Free credits cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
- Free daily credits are limited to one account per browser per day. They also draw on shared site-wide capacity, and when it is used up the credits are unavailable until the next UTC day.
- Repeated sign-ups, shared devices or mailboxes and abnormal network patterns can be declined, and we do not say which signal caused it. Automated checks can also delay a reward.
- Results made only with free credits carry a watermark, unless your account also holds paid credits. Results made with paid credits do not carry one.
Payments:
- Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe, and card details go to Stripe rather than to us. Stripe decides which payment methods the checkout page offers.
- Subscriptions can be monthly or yearly and renew each period until you cancel. Yearly plans release their credits monthly, in 12 installments, rather than all at once.
- To cancel, open Billing, choose Manage subscription and cancel in the billing portal. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and paid credits stay usable.
- Upgrading a plan takes effect immediately, and the billing page shows the estimated charge before you confirm.
- Credit purchases are final. See Refunds and failed upscales for when credits are returned. If a payment is refunded or disputed with your bank, we may remove the unused credits that came with it.
Refunds and failed upscales
When you start an upscale, credits for its cost are held, and if it fails the held credits are returned to your balance automatically. You do not need to ask.
Credit purchases are final, and we do not offer cash refunds. If a result comes out wrong because of a problem on our side, contact us through the contact page, and once we verify it, we refund the credits that were used.
Suspension and ending your account
You can stop using Super Resolution at any time, and you can delete your account in Security settings.
We may suspend or end access to an account that breaks these terms, abuses free credits or limits, or puts the service or other people at risk. A suspended account cannot sign in. If you think a suspension is a mistake, write to us through the contact page.
Our content, disclaimers and liability
The Super Resolution website, software, text, design and name belong to us or our licensors, and these terms give you no rights in them beyond using the service as described here.
The service and its results are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work to keep the service running, but we cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, or that results will meet your needs. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
